New blood and such
I am intrigued by Abbey View's statement that individuals should live in the area they wish to represent. Does this statement also apply to individuals who sit on committees of clubs and associations?

As for the comment that new blood should be welcomed and different people on councils are able to provide new inputs/ideas, does this also apply to committees and local associations?

It is my experience that not everyone shares this opinion and it's a shame Abbey View does not feel able to publish his/her name and stand up and be counted.

As long as the individual is honest and open, listens to what is being said, has the courage to admit errors and, most important, works for the good of the people there is little more anyone could ask for.
