Some police desk services
to be retained in Belmont
In answer to my written request to Chief Constable and my meeting with Superintendent Purcell I am pleased to report a written assurance received today that the Belmont local police building will continue to offer a limited public front desk service.

Improved signage referring to actual opening hours and potential for a shared services front desk will also be investigated. Health, council, housing and policing services will all need to determine how they can collectively best serve the public through reducing overall costs.
