Belmont Centre: healthy
reserves and no debts
The South Wye Community Association draft account for year ending December 31 2009 will be given to Philips & Co, the association’s auditors, this week. It is hoped to issue a brief statement of affairs as soon as the account is finalised, on this website. Following normal practise the full account will be submitted to the association at our AGM to be held no later than May 2010, date to be decided, for public approval (or otherwise).

Meanwhile the management committee is able to announce though reduced, due to considerable capital expenditure on previously reported projects, the association entered 2010 with a healthy reserve and no debts. We wish to thank our growing number of user groups for their support during the year and confirm that the management committee will continue its policy of reinvesting revenue in the Belmont Community Centre to maintain, improve and expand its facilities, as finances permit.

(The committee has authorised repainting the main meeting room, required due to normal wear and tear, which will be undertaken soon at a time not to interfere with bookings.)
