Missile silo cap ends up near Tesco
In respect of the Tesco mini roundabout I am disappointed that the agencies concerned decided that a concrete cap, of a type which might have been lifted from a small redundant Soviet missile silo, is regarded better than the alternative spring time flower display. No doubt this was a committee decision which followed a lot of thought and deliberation on their part.

I am very interested to see that in Herefordshire we have a five committees, as described by Cllr. Edwards, monitoring events in their particular areas of expertise and that there is a further overview & scrutiny committee which acts as umbrella to the five by "over viewing" their work programme and activities and also deals with more "strategic" issues countywide.

Otherwise I would have concluded someone who had been renovating a driveway had dumped and trowelled off excess concrete on the Abbotsmead Road traffic island to get rid of it.
